- This is contingent/excess coverage
- If renting a car internationally, employees should always purchase rental insurance offered, and this will supplement that coverage if needed
- Foreign Commercial General Liability
- Mexico Turista Automobile Policy (covers autos specifically scheduled on the policy, so you must notify Office of Risk Management in advance to obtain this insurance)
- Defense Base Act Coverage
- Extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act
- Provides workers’ compensation coverage for UT employees contracting with the U.S. government on work taking place internationally
Travel Management Services
- International Rental Car
- UT Austin Rental Car contracts do not extend to international destinations
- Enterprise/National do offer UT contracted rental car rates in Canada only
- Travelers MUST accept the Rental Car Companies motor vehicle insurance coverages for the rental car and the primary liability. The costs of the insurance coverages are reimbursable.
